As the countdown begins to the April 6th 2024 Ride the Sound Wave Festival, Australian roots legend and mutli-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd is gearing up to perform his new music on the beachside stage.
Rudd is headlining the Ride the Sound Wave line-up that also includes The Dreggs – who will also be performing new music, Emily Wurramara, Mama Kin Spender and Round Mountain Girls on April 6th at Town Beach Port Macquarie.

Excited that Ride the Sound Wave is raising much needed funds for the Make A Difference charity Xavier said, “I am stoked to be part of this event on Birpai country Port Macquarie. Great line up and location right on the beach, it’s set to be a deadly little celebration of good vibes and good intentions. Every cent raised is going to the homeless and disadvantaged on the Mid North Coast, so this gig is extra special. Get along and support this people.”
Make A Difference (MAD) are a not-for-profit volunteer run charity, with funds raised from the Ride the Sound Wave festival ear marked to help a growing number of people hit by homelessness and the cost-of-living crisis on the Mid North Coast by providing free meals and other services.
Joining Rudd will be acoustic duo The Dreggs, rising star Emily Wurramara who will bring her own brand of cultural storytelling and mesmerizing voice to the event and the dynamic duo of Mama Kin Spender who along with Round Mountain Girls are set to deliver high energy performances.
“Tickets are really flying out now we’re on the countdown to the event. It’s great that Xavier is feeling well again – we can’t wait to host him on our beachside stage. He’s been so supportive of our event and the fundraising we’re doing for Make A Difference. It’s awesome to work with someone who is not only an incredible performer, but is also intent on leaving the world better than he found it – whether that’s helping charities like ours or via his environmental causes. It’s going to be an epic showcase of his new and old music on our stage, and with the beachside location it’s always a great vibe.
There’s still tickets available, so we hope our local community as well as those who are travelling to Port Macquarie that weekend get behind us to support MAD. Every single ticket sale makes a difference,” said Erin Denham, Director M.A.D & RTW Event Coordinator.
